Great teachers share their passion for teaching, and in doing so inspire those around them including students, parents and other teachers. Great teachers are gifted in finding the good in each person, uncovering the talents in every person, and fueling the fire of greatness that exists in us all.” (Taken from an article, “Seven Practices of Great Teachers,” Isabel Johnson.) Does this describe a professor you know at Eastern? Why not nominate him or her to be given the wonderful honor of undergraduate “ASEWU Faculty of the Year”? The application form may be obtained in the ASEWU office, PUB 303, or you may call [(509) 359-2514] to have the form sent to you.

Now take the next step and consider taking a leadership role at Eastern Washington University and serving in the capacity of the next student board of trustees member for the 2010-2011 school year. As a member of EWU’s Board of Trustees, you will:
- Acquire a unique understanding on how policies are made at the university level.
- Serve as the students’ voice in making decisions.
- Meet and interact with university administration, state representatives, senators and other government officials.
- Develop your communication and leadership skills.
Take that step today and pick up an application packet in the ASEWU office, PUB 303, or call (509) 359-2514 to have a packet sent to you. Governor Gregoire makes the final selection. The deadline is Monday, April 5, 2010, 3:00 p.m.
