An act relating to the Service and Activity Fee Committee.
Be it enacted by the ASEWU Council that:

SECTION 1: Purpose SECTION 7: Removal of Members

The purpose of the Services and Activities fee committee is to evaluate existing and proposed budget levels for that portion of program budget that is derived from the Services and Activities fee revenues. The Committee will provide an opportunity for all interested view points to be heard at a public meeting or meetings during its consideration and evaluation of the student programs and activities. The committee then submits its recommendations of these service and activities fees with supporting documentation from voting members to the Vice President of Student Affairs of the university administration. This purpose is a reference from RCW 28B.15.044.

SECTION 2: Membership SECTION 7: Removal of Members

The voting student members of the Services and Activities Fee Committee shall consist of

  1. The ASEWU Finance Vice President, representing the executive branch;
  2. The Member of the ASEWU council, representing the legislative branch; and
  3. The ASEWU Superior Court Justice, representing the judicial branch.

There shall also be two ex-officio members

  1. The ASEWU President;
  2. One student at-large
SECTION 3: Responsibilities

The Service and Activity Fee committee shall be established, and is responsible for proposing to the university administration and board of trustees program priorities and budget levels for that portion of program budgets that derive from services and activities fees. The committee is expected to identify program funding proposals that do not fall into the categories of pre-existing contracted agreements, bond covenant agreements, or stability of programs affecting Eastern’s students. These responsibilities can be found in RCW 28B.15.044.

SECTION 4: Rescinded

Bylaw 00-2001/504, is hereby rescinded
